MY STORY

My name is Jordan Maynard. I served in the U.S. Army.

During my service, I suffered severe burns that changed my life forever. The scars on my body were only part of the battle. I also struggled with PTSD, anxiety, and the difficult work of learning how to live with the person I became.

For a long time, I stayed away from people. I was uncomfortable being seen. I wondered if the man I used to be was gone forever.

But my mother never saw my scars. She only saw her son.

When I was at my lowest, she stayed beside me. She reminded me that I was still loved, still needed, and still had a purpose. My father served too, but he never made it home from Iraq. My mother carried that pain and still chose to help me find my way back.

Today, she is fighting cancer. There are days when I sit beside her and remember everything she has done for me. She was there when I was broken. Now I want to be there for her.

That is why I kept returning to my small workshop and creating these wind chimes. But after years of carrying this emotional weight, I know it is time to step away from this work and focus on healing, faith, and family.

MADE FROM REAL WORKING HORSESHOES

Before it became a wind chime, each horseshoe had a life of its own. Some came from trail horses, some from family farms, and some from country roads and open fields.

Instead of being forgotten, they were given a second purpose.

You may still notice worn nail holes, marks, and signs of use. Those are not flaws — they are part of the horseshoe’s story.

A HEART THAT MEANS MORE

The heart shape wasn’t chosen by accident.

To me, it represents the people we keep praying for — a mother, a father, a spouse, a friend, someone we miss, or someone we refuse to give up on.

Every wind chime carries that reminder: love is often the reason we keep going. And sometimes the soft sound of a bell in the wind feels like a little prayer over a home.
